Possible not, as oo blood is only expressed when homozygous recessive. Test again and use DNA testing to be sure. Unless you were carrying type A all along.

Do any of you ineffable twits giving me " thumbs down " for my answer read? Completely

Type A blood, like all types, comes from two genes, one from the father, one from the mother. If the father is type O, that has to be OO, because it is a recessive trait. But if the mother is AA, AO (type A) or AB (type AB), the children can easily be AO (type A). The same goes for the + and -. The father would have to be --, but if the mother is ++ or +- (both positive), the kids can easily be +- (positive).

If you are O and your son is A then the father must be A or AB. You can only pass on an allele for O and so the father had to pass on the allele for A. So, the answer would be no, this is not the father.

I answered this on both of your questions since I figured they went together. This way you get the answer. Sorry if this is not the answer you want to hear.

Well well.. WHO IS BABY DADDY? Well if the father is O- it all comes down to you. As an O- the father can only pass on the O- genotype (as it requires homozygosity). I've created a little chart below to help you blame someone else for your problem...

You're blood type-------Is O- guy screwed (proven father)
A+ --------- nothing learned
O- ------- you're not his mom.
Other types ---- He's not the dad.

If your blood type is A+ or AB+, it's possible.

Yes, it is possible, but your blood type would have to be A

Completey possible!!

I assume you are either A or AB ( probably positive too) you don't say.....hmmm the fact you are asking the question means you are worried he's not.....which is also a possiblily ESPECIALLY if you are O too!!!....then it would not be possible he is the father.
