It is "recorded" in Genesis that a man's life span was once hundreds of years. Given the current life expectancies and what we know about cardiac and nerve cells not being able to replicate themselves, is it logical to take these genealogies literally.

Evolutionists say that a newly formed river or stretch of water can separate people, causing them, over vast periods of time, to speciate (or evolve into another species). How, then, if water was such a barrier, did humans manage to spread out over the entire planet, crossing massive seas etc?

I read that size of Y chromosome has reduced because it did not have partner at all. but X chromosome has not reduced, they say that it is because, it has partner in female sex to recombine.
If Chromosome don't get partner to recombine than there is tendency to delete genes which may be harmful produced by mutation. which intern will reduce the size of chromosome is the logic.
Now if X chromosome gets only 50% chances to recombine then I think size of X chromosome should also reduce to a size in between Y and its initial size in reptiles This is my guess. Please comment.

When we talk of simple cells or proteins or amino acids as the earliest building blocks of life, is it understood that they all had a source of food or is food unnecessary for these to exist?

How long, if they do require nourishment, could they survive in what might be thought of as a hostile environment?

Please help a non-scientist in his quest to understand evolution.
Thanks

Am not sure if this is accurate but..A steak dinner can take you two, maybe three days to get out of your intestine. What that means is the way you digest it is basically to rot it in your intestines. On the other hand, if you eat vegetables and fruits, they're out of your system in less than 12 hours.
