when anyone finds a fossil or bone(my dog does this in my back yard, but we do not pay him with tax dollars),the only thing we know is SOMETHING died! The fossils and bones do NOT have dates on them.Carbon daing(and ALL other dating methods)are based on the ASSUMPTION that the geologic column is correct. The geologic column was made up in the 1830's by Charles Lyalle,it does NOT exsist in reality. Please give me REAL proof of this evolution fairytale that people are believing in!!!

I think it has not been tried in humans, but it is better to ask if anyone heard anything like that in humans or in mammals.

Just curious. Is there any particular reason that the majority of Americans have such an apprehension to cockroaches? Is this extreme dislike an American thing, or does it occur in other countries/cultures as well? And why do cockroaches freak people out more than other bugs?

Any ideas?

What is the scientific rationale for assuming that evolution is always on an upward curve? I assume that it is assumed because I've never heard anyone speak of it going backwards.

If indeed it is always improving the organisms of life, what would be the motivation for it to go in that direction?
Please don't say God.
There must be some scientific reason that evolution "selects" in favor of the improved model. If that be the instinct for survival, then I must ask how did instinct evolve especially when talking about simple cells.

It's old, petrified and about the size of my leg bone but I think there's a little too much curve in it to be a leg bone. Any ideas?

Someone told me that her father's skin is lemon yellow, that he has black (or very close to) eyed and hair and that her mother's skin is greyish-olive and that her hair colour is closed to her skin's colour (somekind of blonde). My girlfriend is dark orange brown. She thinks she might have been adopted and that she might have two twin sisters. She had somekind of dream or blackflash where she saw the yellow guy and olive woman. She find them looking like her, just as she found two other girls looking like her (she thinks they might be her twin sisters). She says she has a twin sister who is white-yellowish with hair colour close to her skin colour (somekind of golden blonde), with black-brownish eye colour and with her mother's face shape; and another twin sister who has red hair, beige white skin with blue eyes and her father's face shape. Was my girlfriend having dreams or blackflash? Have there ever been such type of twins? If so, does it run in the family?

Technology seems to have significantly minimized many of the primal struggles for humans (i.e. food, security, sex, etc.) In theory, those who are more successful at these basic needs will have a greater chance to pass those beneficial genes to the next generation, strenghtening the occurance of those genes in the population and moving the species to an ever more adapted group. In humans, however, because civilization and technology has enabled almost anyone who desires sex to reproduce regardless of their level of "fitness", what then drives natural selection and to a greater extent human evolution? Have humans derailed our own evolution?

whenever I get into a debate on evolution I get many different Ideas of what many people think evolution is.There are 6 or 7 different ones.only 1 is proven. That is micro evolution, which is variety within the same KIND of animal.NOONE has seen anything change into some other animal,NOONE can prove the earth is millions of years old either.Carbon Dating does NOT work consistantly,AND,it only gives dates in the thousands, even on LIVE animals.LOL. I want to stop feeling bad and start feeling good in my life. I am doing and will be doing many things to manifest this change, one of them being the address of my body's physiological requirements. I am thinking seriously about going vegetarian. I'm reading Fit for Life by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond and I agree with so many things vegetarians point out. Humans have hands, not claws. Humans have molars, not canines. Humans have an intestine which is super long, while carnivores have one that is like 12 feet long. The hydrochloric acid in carnivores is like 10 times more potent than that in humans. Psychologically humans don't like hurting peaceful herbivores like deer and rabbits. The Diamonds point out to trust your common sense and how you feel. I haven't eaten pork in years, or beef in months. I still eat chicken, fish and egg whites. I just had an egg white sandwich, it didn't go down so good (again). Feels heavy. I'll continue eating animal products if they help me, but do they?
