The Catholic Church accepted a long time ago that the shroud was, in fact, not what people presumed it was, and allowed carbon dating on it. It is now considered a work of art of religious importance, not a sacred relic. It is not hidden, as another respondent put it, it is kept in the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Italy. There is now no more point in allowing scientific, possibly destructive, analysis.

As others have stated, the Shroud of Turin is a fake as are most religious relics (e.g. pieces of the true cross, the holy prepuce and the sacred tortilla).
No one has managed to clone any primate and the DNA from Jesus H. Christ would be even more problematic as one being born parthenogenically, the H stands for haploid.

No, the shroud has iron oxide, not blood on it. The shroud is a work of art. Have you ever seen a person wipe themselves off in a crowded mobbed street and then have a perfect likeness of their entire body appear on the shoud? It doesn't happen. Plus, the shroud dates to the middle ages.
There is one known likeness of Jesus - the mandylion. Here is a picture of it:

I don't think it will be possible to clone Jesus.

No, because when the shroud of Turin was scientifically investigated, it was found that the stuff on the shroud was made of urine and paint in the 15th or 16th century, probably by students of Leonardo de Vinci. The Catholic Church quickly whisked the shroud back into hiding and away from any more snoopy scientists.

1. You have to have a positive identification that the Shroud has DNA from Jesus.
2. You have to have the technology/know-how to clone people from DNA - we're not there yet.
interesting premise, though.
