I'm studying this and I'm confused. Can anyone explain it so that I can understand? I'm getting mixed up over when mitosis and when meiosis happens, and which one is haploid to diploid or diploid to haploid. Also the transiton from asexual to sexual reproduction (or vice versa) is confusing too. Thanks for your help!

If evolution is true, why is it wrong to for a human to kill another human but it is okay to kill another animal? Why when animals kill each other as they normally do, it is normal, but when a human kills another human it is not normal? The keystone of evolution is the survival of the fittest, so why do we let the mentally challenged, the paralyzed, and other "unfit" humans live?

Okay, first of all i want to tell you my interests. They are kind of straight forward. First of all, i like biology. I do not want to be like some animal vet or someone who JUST works with animals 24/7. I've always loved the outdoors, and nature itself. I love some things in psychology, but i couldn't listen to someones problems and emotions 24/7, i would go mad. I like to study things out of the ordinary, like say, bigfoot or something. I don't mean i want to spend every day searching for bigfoot, i just mean i want to work somewhere in biology that can fluctuate between 1. actually being in the outdoors and doing field work 2. lab work 3. being called to sometimes do special researches or search for a wild animal. Im a very smart student and plan on making alot of money, and i want to use my intelligence in biology, and make good money doing so. If you can, please suggest possible career choices, thanks so much.

I read this book about evolution that claimed that everything that happened in our bodies was the result of millions of years of evolution. They gave very good examples through near-sightedness, diabetes, depression, and many others. I highly recommend the book. It's called "Why We Get Sick"
