Eukaryotes are more advanced than prokaryotes therefore during mRNA synthesis, editing takes place whereas there is no editing in prokaryotes.

this is what i believe. prokaryotes are the most primitive organisms and therefore the genes newly developed are only as per the requirements. in the developed eukaryotes however a lot of the nucleotide sequences coding for different proteins in the prok. become redundant and this process continues as the evolution occurs and more proteins are used and others 'disused. but the evolutin progression hasn't reached far enough to get rid of the sequences not in use any more which form the introns. in fact some of the introns found in humans similar in sequence to other related organims are believed to code for certain proteins in the same.

Actually evidence indicates that Eukaryotes being more "advanced" (whatever that means) has nothing to do with it. The theory of Michael Lynch and others proposes that introns accumulate neutrally as a result of relaxations in the efficiency of selection due to increasing population size (selection is much efficient in the smaller populations of large eukaryotes). Only after this decrease in selection has allowed them to persist do they then become coopted for function

Eukaryotes are
"animal cells". They are much more advances than prokaryotes.

Because if they did they'd be eukaryotes.
