1. The antibiotic will degrade the bacterial membrane. The surrounding solvent will flow into the cell and the cell will lyse or burst.

2. The antibiotic will not kill the protozoan since it is a eukaryote like humans. The bacteria is a prokaryote. Antibiotics target prokaryotic cells only.
