there are rumours that NASA is all fake. man did not go to moon. it was just some fake pictures taken somewhere in the underground. in my opinion, this sort of seems to be true but i can't quite agree. what about you?

There appears to be a rule in physics that you cannot get something for nothing. The creation of space as the universe expands seems to contradict this rule unless some related attribute is running down

... about how the universe was formed? When you look at the hypotheses - i.e. dark matter, dark energy, the Higgs field - don't you sometimes feel like scientists are trying to make it seem as if they "know" everything about the universe? When, a discovery like this http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/070823_huge_hole.html comes along, don't you wonder if maybe they don't know as much as they claim to? I am totally for science, and I think it is one of the greatest endeavors of humankind. I just feel somtimes like there is little room for new theories or thoughts about some things - like the formation of the universe - because scientists present ideas like The Big Bang as facts - not hypotheses, and I think this sometimes stifles new discoveries. What are your thoughts on this?

Ok yeah, I got this idea from Superman - but what would happen if we were exposed to a sun of a different colour? Would we die? Would life as we know it work in a different way? Any scientists reading this and may know the answer, your comments are appreciated.

it's easy enough to think, okay, ten marbles. you arrange them in two rows of five and it's there in your head, easy as pie. then, 100? ten times that, okay. get real rocks and count out ten groups of ten, got it. but when you try to imagine millions upon billions of say, people on earth, or stars in the universe, the process becomes absurd. how do you get your head around such large numbers? how do you really comprehend the meaning of million years? a zillion atoms? etc.
