A series of 666's have been appearing recently. Little at first but know its just ridiculous. I've picked Carbon out at random for Science class and found out it had. 6 Protons, 6 Neutrons, and 6 Electrons. In reading, before science, i got a -6/66 on my homework. I have begun to have nightmares (Not all the time) and now I'm seeing and hearing things from my room. So can anybody please help me. My computers been acting kinda funny too.

There are three specific stars in the western sky. They are almost in an exact straight line with the middle one ever so slightly lower than the other two. They run from the south to the north and are extremely close together. They are not the brightest stars but are significant every night.
Does anyone know what the names of these stars are and what if any constalation they are in?

Stars 'die' all the time. I have always wondered why the constellation stars never burn out. It would be pretty cool if there was no explanation, but I am sure someone has one. Thanks!

Ok so I am just wonderingg here, how did we come up with the speed of light? Furthermore how do we know things are x number of light years away? I get the general concept but how was it proven and how do we estimate the light year distances?

Nobody is quite sure how such a small moon can have a molten interior that drives the water geysers and volcanoes. Calculations of the tidal forces due to Saturn dont seem strong enough and Enceladus is not massive enough for appreciable heating by radioactive decay.

I suggest that (the overlooked answer is) electrical currents due to the magnetic field interactions with Saturn are causing the heating.

OK you may say I was imagining it or was a victim of mass hypnosis or many other reasons that I did not see what I saw.

I was about 10 years old at the time which dates the incident to aprox 1957.
I was out playing with friends on a summers night. We conrigated on a grassy bank, I was lying back just gazing at the moon, when I noticed a small (red?) flashing light circling the moon. On that night the moon was a cresent but the light navigated a perfect circle going around the portion of the moon that was dark.
I pointed this out and my friends saw the same thing.
We watched this light for about 10 to 15 minutes and being kids we got bored and went off to do something else.

I thought no more about this incident until I saw a small piece in a book years later.

I know for a fact I saw this light but have no explaination.

Does anyone out there know anything about this incident

I looked up and saw a bright circular light / disk that did a figure eight then shot to the horizon within seconds. I got better things to do than bullshi t people so i wanted to know has anyone else seen this? I live in Dorset, UK.

If there was a another planet with life on it in our solar system, on the exact same orbit and speed as earth but on the opposite side of the sun, how would we know it's there unless we viewed our solar system from the outer reaches?
