The Universe was created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster by waving His Noodly Appendage. (The Church of the FSM) Others say it was sneezed out by the Great Green Arkleseizure and dread the coming of the Great White Handkerchief. (Adams) When an extra-terrestrial presses the buttons in his UFO in the wrong order after a hard night on the mineral turpentine, the Universe will cease to exist. (Paul Ableman)

You can't destroy the Universe. The net energy and therefore the net mass of the Universe is probably zero. You can't destroy nothing.

Nobody and nothing. Nobody and nothing.
The universe is constant. It neither expands nor contracts. It is nothing, but it contains everything. It never had a beginning, it will never come to an end. Nothing is bigger than the universe, and there are no numbers or words that can describe it's size. Infinity squared to infinity just can't be perceived by most minds. It has no power, or energy, or air, just a more than perfect vacuum. There are random and widespread pockets of matter and dispersed gasses here and there. Earth is a barely noticable micro-dot in our galaxy, which itself is hardly worth noticing in the vastness of the universe.

My chemistry teacher once said "Matter can not be destroyed, only changed". The universe is made of matter, therefore it can not be destroyed. It can be changed. Our sun could explode and spew us into space but our particles would become something else.. Carl Sagan said "We are space dust".and indeed, we could be.
