I saw a gorgeous thing looking at the sunset tonight. Up over the horizon on this clear night across Lake Erie... the sliver of a moon and a very bright star. Pretty cool.... look out at the moon now... see a sliver of the moon and do you see the star just below it to the right? Is it a planet? A star (obviously)? Does it mean anything (apocalypse)? What country's flag does it look like?

There are also reportings of bright flashes in the sky.
Once I heard this I went outside for myself. I know the moon is closest to the earth at the moment, but I couldn't see the moon at all. Hmm? I then saw bright flashes covering the whole sky. Subtle but far away. Any news anyone? Something I missed?

We all know the world, the ground beneath our feet. This planet is finite. Fine, that's OK. But we are in space. If it doesn't end and it is infinite then, how come? There's no point just telling me it's infinite. Tell me how it is infinite. It doesn't make sense. Trouble is, if it is finite what is behind that, as per my previous question. Been thinking and mindf*cked about this questions since I was about 12 (many many years ago). Go on really try and imagine it and think about the ludicrousness of the whole concept of space and infinity. And then try and imagine how religion fits into it. These are people who don't bother thinking about this kind of thing and are so short sighted they just rely on their belief in God; as to really think about God would prove his none existance and throw up the kind of questions I am asking now

The rate at which time pases depends on how fast something is going. Star's orbit the galactic core at I assume slightly different relative velocities. Would this mater (assuming we had a fast enough means of communication betwen two stars)? What factor of differnce would it be?

My husband is really sceptical about the moon walk, he believes it didn't really happen. He thinks there isn't enough proof.
What is your opinion please try to help me settle this.

are we not just expediting the life taken to reach heaven, where God and all our past loved ones reside in harmony and peace. Please note that I don't believe we should kill ANYTHING unless our own life is in danger and there is no other way out of the danger(but this very thought is contradicting what I stated). This question is targeted at those who believe in God and heaven, as law is in direct contradiction to our belief (but not the bible).

When Earth (and our solar system) disappers there will be no evidence of man or life on this planet or even our solar system. Which makes me wonder why we live our lives the way we do and not like nature intended...enjoying it and living clean.
