supposedly fishoil enhances brain activity, but does this actually make you more intelligent?

no. no chemical will make you more intelligent, but it may increase brain function, which will make you sharper, and more able to use the intelligence you already have.

it wont give you information, but it will allow you to process and recall that information more efficiently

intelligence can only be gained through experience.

Probably more accurate to say that a deficiency of the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil will make you less intelligent, as well as more susceptible to Alzheimer's, depression, and other problems. There isn't enough omega-3 in the modern diet, due in part to the way we feed our livestock, so without supplementation, most of us are deficient.

There's no conclusive evidence it increases brain activity - the brain consumes a lot of glucose but taking in extra glucose wont make your brain use it any faster or more efficiently.

well i went fishing not to long ago and caught a nice 12" trout, I threw it back in the stream and not 20 seconds later I caught the same fish again!. So.. what do you think?

the only thing that makes you more intelligent is to study and read books. these are proven to nake people smarter.
