Yes they did and Americans are now worried that their defence system is not secure. Americans rely heavily on their satellites orbitting the earth and these could be attacked if they try to isolate or provoke the Chinese in shape or form.
I guess we too can't sleep well at night if they continue to develop their technology at this rate. The only other countries that have tried this before are Americans and Russians.
