Please give me a brief explanation of how you got these answers so I'll be better at in the future. Thanks. :)

1.) Which doesn't represent a possible intersection of a line and a right cone with height 4 cm: 3 points, 2 points, or one point?

2.) Describe the locus of all points in a plane that are 9 cm from M?
circle M with a radius of 18 cm
circle M with a radius of 9 cm
square with 9 cm sides
square with 18 cm sides

3.) Describe the locus of all points that are 3 cm from a point m?

a line, 3 cm from line m
a pair of parallel lines, each parallel to and 3 cm from line m
a sphere with a radius of 3 cm
a circle with a diameter of 6 cm

I really don't get that locus stuff, if someone could explain I'd feel smarter lol. :)

The atmospheric pressure p on a balloon or an aircraft decreases with increasing height. This pressure, measured in millimeters of mercury, is related to the height h (in kilometers) above sea level by the formula p = 760e^(-0.145h).

(a) Find the height of an aircraft if the atmospheric pressure is 340 millimeters in mercury.

(b) Find the height of a mountain if the atmospheric pressure is 777 millimeters in mercury.

I'm taking Astronomy right now, but my teacher's doing an awful job at teaching it. I'm doing a project on Antimatter, but I'm having trouble understanding some of these concepts. From my research, I know what CP-transformation/operation is, and that CP-Violation explains the Matter/Antimatter Asymmetry, but why does it happen? (And how?)

How to find the radius of a circle with radius 10 Cm.

I Drew a circle with center O at P(0,0).
Let dr = a small change in radius.
Define Pi = A/(2R) => A = 2PiR

Integrate from R = 0 to R = R
the curve 2Pi ⌠Rdr
= PiR^2 = Area of the circle

So I know the radius is 10 cm...then the area = Pi*100 = 314 cm^2

That seems a bit complex ...I'm just looking for a simple formula for the radius...

I know that if I take an angle of Pi/4 * R = Arc Length of this segment ....so then I tried splitting the area up into 4 pieces

314 /4 = Pi*R

I'm trying to find R ...but I am stuck

Help????
