Yes but only in the sense that when I switch the lights out of my bathroom the white tiles become black because there is no light. I would say that inside of custard is yellow, as black isn't really a colour, just the absence of light.

Colour is what you see. It's caused by light entering your eye and how your brain interprets this. It is not a property of matter.

The inside of custard is only black if you define everything as being black when you switch off the light. If you think that the outside of custard is yellow, even in the dark, then so is the inside.

Nobody's ever seen the inside of an opaque object, so the question doesn't really make sense. Colour only exists where light is reflected from a surface or when it passes through a transparent medium.

"N'ere before has anybody ventured
Within a bowl or pool or blob of custard!
But since its opaqueness is ne'er vented
Tis' certain that inside the custard's murky!"

Deep deep down inside the custard, where monsters prowl and children fear for their lives, it is as black as black can be.
