A diffraction grating with 230 lines per mm is used in an experiment to study the visible spectrum of a gas discharge tube. At what angle from the beam axis will the first order peak occur if the tube emits light with wavelength of 686.2 nm?

At what angle will the second order peak occur?

i used the sin theta = wavelength/distance eqn and i got .00904 for the first one and .0181 for the second one and i got both of them wrong any suggestions?

Over this past year I've been devoting my free time & apart of my life to EVP. My laptop is filled with a large amount of audacity files from my deceased dad to my grandpa. I had this idea of publishing a book about it. My 2 local public libraries had no paranormal section/books.

1. How would I start the book
2. Would people read/buy it, etc.

Topic Sentence:
Does earth’s gravity affect plant growth?
Hypothesis:
I think the earth’s gravity will affect the plant growth by forcing the plant’s stems to go upwards, away from the earth’s core, and the seeds reaching towards the earth’s core; because that is how they usually grow.

I have three weeks, so I cannot grow my own little plants, I'll have to buy three pre-grown plants.
But I'm still not sure.

My question is:
How can I "flip" the plants, so they are not standing upright like they usually are, with having the soil and seeds falling out of the see-through plastic cups?

I'm supposed to design a scheme to seperate the cations Ca and Pb based on the concept of precipitation and the differences in solubility. I got the first one - adding Cl to a solution of Ag and Cu will cause AgCl to precipitate while Cu remains in solution - but my brain refuses to cooperate with me any further. Anyone willing to offer a jump start?

solve : x^ - x - 20 = 0

i have:
(x - 5) (x +4)
x - 5 = 0 or x + 4 = 0
so x =5 or x = -4

use your results to solve:
(2t + 2/t) ^ - (2t + 2/t) - 20 = 0

i have:
2t + 2/t = -4 or 2t + 2/t = 5
2t^ + 2 + 4t = 0 or _________
2t^ + 4t + 2 = 0 or 2t^ - 5t + 2= 0
(t ) (t ) =0 or (t ) (t )

Using factoring I solve this so that x=0 and x=3pi/2. Once I get to this point I'm unsure what to do. I'm told to put the x value in place of sin x and solve but I can't see an example of this. Additionally I'm not sure how to finish solving, I understand that I should get 4 answers because each x value is added to 2pi.

Can someone show me the solution by replacing sin x with the values.
