let V be a vector space and let A be any subset V. there exists linear subspaces of V that contain A (for instance, V itself is such a subspace) let n = (N: N is a linear subspace of V containing A) show that n contains a smallest element. (try intersection of n) thus, there exists a smallest linear subspace of V containing A

Tension in a string from which a 4.3 kg object is suspened in an elevator is equal to 45N.

What is the magnitude of the acceleration of the elevator?
What is its direction? (I don't know how I would go about answering this question)

m=4.3kg
T=45N
g=-9.8

F=ma=T-mg
a=T-mg/m
a=(45-42.14)/4.3
a=.66512 m/s^2

IS this correct??

When using a cladistic approach to systematics, which of the following is considered most important for classification?

A. shared primitive characters

B. analogous primitive characters

C. shared derived characters

D. the degree of evolutionary divergence
E. overall phenotypic similarity

I'm not sure if this should be A or C. I am leaning towards C, because these characters are unique to a particular clade and would seem to be better for classifying.

I understand that it's theoretically possible to move forward in time but I thought moving backward was deemed an impossibility.

I have been on depression medication for about 3 months now. The medication I am on is called Cipralex. I was REALLY happy for the last 2 weeks but I wanted to know if I was NATURALLY happy (like if I have overcome depression) or if it was the medication. So I didn't take it for 2 days and I just died! I had nausea, headaches, diarrhea, and I was so depressed. What is wrong with me? Am I addicted to the drug or am I just depressed still?
