write the augmented matrix of each system of equations

{4x1 - x2 + 2x3 - x4 = 4
{ x1 + x2 + 6 = 0
{ 2x2 - x3 -4x4 = 5

can explain this numbers behind x's are small i couldn't figure out how you make them small?

The standard notation for subscripts is to use an underscore, so x₂ = x_2, for instance (or if you are sufficiently l337, you can just use the unicode subscripts - subscript n is located at unicode 0×208n).

Anyway, we have the system:

4x₁ - x₂ + 2x₃ - x₄ = 4
x₁ + x₂ ................. = -6
.... + 2x₂ - x₃ - 4x₄ = 5

So the nth entry of the mth row of the matrix is simply the coefficient of x_n in the mth equation. Thus the augmented matrix is:

[4, -1, 2, -1| 4]
[1, 1, 0, 0| -6]
[0, 2, -1, -4| 5]

i like onions

try:

4 -2 2 -1
1 1 6 0
0 2 -1 -4

and the next matrix would consist of the answers
4
0
5
so just add that last matrix to the right of the first one?
i honestly dont know if this is correct! havnt done this for a long time

and what do you mean by the numbers behind the x's? the coefficients?
