I am from Iowa, and have been to Iowa City and have seen the "Black Angel". It is a creepy sight, there's no doubt about that -- especially since it's in a cemetery.

(No, I didn't touch it)

Just a little, How can they be sure that vandals did not paint it ?
Of course, everybody who touches it will die, If they're a child, it may take 80 years to happen.
BTW I always though Oakland cemetary was in Atlanta, Bobby Jones is buried there.

I dont know, it just looks like a copper Angel statue in a grave yard. Its not half as creepy as this park near where I live that has a bunch of statues of the Virgin Mary. Catholic depictions of her can get rather creepy, believe me.

Explanation? Link? Anything?

You actually think this is widely known?

Most people don't even know there's such a place as Iowa City, let alone what the freakin public sculptures are.

Hell, there are people out there who don't know where Iowa is or what it is, I guarantee it....
