A vehicle is cruising at 18.0 m/s it speeds up uniformly at 4 m/s^2 for the next 46 meters. What is the final velocity in m/s?

Given: a=4 m/s^2 d=46m Vi= 18.0 m/s

Equation: (Vf^2) = (Vi^2) + (2AD)

Solution: (Vf^2) = (18 m/s)^2 + 2 ( 4 m/s)^2 (46 m)

So final velocity = about 42 m/s (?)
