You can think of the work-kinetic energy theorem as a second theory of motion, parallel to Newton's laws in describing how outside influences affect the motion of an object. In this problem work out parts (a) and (b) separately from parts (c) and (d) to compare the predictions of the two theories. In a rifle barrel, a 15.0 g bullet is accelerated from rest to a speed of 740 m/s. (a) Find the work that is done on the bullet in kJ. (b) If the rifle barrel is 70.0 cm long, find the magnitude of the average total force that acted on it, as F = W / (r cos ) in kN. (c) Find the constant acceleration of a bullet that starts from rest and gains a speed of 740 m/s over a distance of 70.0 cm in km/s^2. (d) If the bullet has mass 15.0 g, find the total force that acted on it as F = ma in kN.

When flour mixed with Iodine / Lugol's, the flour turned purple on contact, but why did this happen? The flour and Iodine were mixed inside a test tube with water, although I don't think this info would be necessary.

So...

Why does flour turn purple when mixed with Iodine?

12. What is the value of pi you used to give the approximate value
14. find the circumference of the taxi circle (x2+y2=9)
15. Find the value of pi in taxi cab geometry
16. Will the value of pi always be the same value you computed in #15? Dont guess use at least one equation with a different radius and another equation with a different center and show work in your journal!

A car in a roller coaster moves along a track. In the time interval from t=0 to t=4 s, where A is a positive dimensionless constant.

v = sqrt[(A^2 + (3At^2 + 12At)^2]

The roller coaster is designed according to safety regulations that prohibit the speed of the car from exceeding 20 m/s . Find the maximum value of A allowed by these regulations.

I have two equations both functions of t(time)

y(t) = -4.9x^2 + 20x

x(t) = 10x

I want to make y a function of x. y(x).

I've thought about it and just keep gettin y(x) = -0.49x + 2 I know it's not right. The function will be a parabola. Please don't tell me to make a plot graph. I don't do graphs. They're so innacurate.

I know there is a way to do it mathematically. I just need some help.

The set of points on the plane with integer coordinates over the filed of real numbers do not form a vector space because while there is closure for vector addition, there is no closure for scalar multiplication.
(1/2) • (1,3) = (1/2, 3/2)
Why can't you define the scalars as a set of integers?
