I have two equations both functions of t(time)

y(t) = -4.9x^2 + 20x

x(t) = 10x

I want to make y a function of x. y(x).

I've thought about it and just keep gettin y(x) = -0.49x + 2 I know it's not right. The function will be a parabola. Please don't tell me to make a plot graph. I don't do graphs. They're so innacurate.

I know there is a way to do it mathematically. I just need some help.

I think you meant
y= -4.9 t^2+20 t and
x= 10 t so t = x/10
and
y= -4.9(x/10)^2 +2x
y=-4.9/100*x^2+2x

The first thing you have to learn in studying mathematics is that the sort of sloppiness you exhibited in the statement of your problem must be overcome. The people here who are trying to help you have no obligation to try to read your mind.

State your problem clearly and correctly, and you will get help.
