I know scientifically the earth is round like a sphere but Since I was a kid I have always looked at a map and thought it was flat. Even when I look at one today, I can't help but think, "Well what's on the other side?".

This may sound like a dumb question to some people but I am being very serious and am just thinking outside of the box.

If I am to be woken in the night, I first start to experience my dreams and then awaken. So a future event (my waking) directly causes effects (my conscious experiencing of dreams) in the present. Does this prove that time is not linear?

The scientific definition of a species is if 2 animals mate and their offspring is viable (ie. not a mule/infertile) then they are the same species - then are not dog and wolf hybrids fertile? Does this not make them the same species? Biologists/Zoologists???

If you have a standard pulley problem (basically a string over a frictionless, massless pulley) and you've got a weight of W1 on one side and a strong man on the other side. What's the upper limit of W1 that the strong man can pull?

Intuitively, I want to say his weight, but I'm not so sure about that.
