Maybe. But don't laugh--the research prototype of the system has been orbiting Earth for months (the name is "Genesis I and the company is Bigelow Aerospace, if you wan't to look it up).
We are on the verge of a radically new technological capability in space. No super-duper flying saucers. The real thing--the culmination of decades of development that will make it possible to build more safe, reliable--and much, much less costly spacecraft.
Check out space.com and look for "commercial spaceflight"
