Why are we not sending a human mission to Mars?

Also, why have we not sent an astronaut to live on the Moon? There are large hydrogen deposits, which are most likely frozen water on the moon. So an adequate supply of water is not the problem.

I'm only a high school freshmen, therefore I'm not as knowledgeable as someone on Yahoo Answers is, at least I'm hoping. Am I missing something obvious, prohibiting us from exploring further in the Solar System?

if a problem reads

A professional baseball player believes that he is a good hitter, but his current batting average is only .250. That is he has only gotten hits in 25% of his at-bats. Find the probability that the player who really is a .250 hitter will get at least 18 hits in his next 50 at-bats

Now,
n=50
x=18
Probability of success or failure=.50

Do I include de .250 somewhere? or not?

The limit as t approaches 2 of:
(t^3 + 3t^2 -12t +4)/(t^3-4t)

When I plug in 2 I get 0 over 0. I know this needs to be factored. If it helps, I know the answer is 3/2.

I am doing some physics work and I am confused about a certain question. It is as follows:

The dot product of two vectors
1. is a scalar
2. is 0 if the two vectors are perpendicular
3. lies perpendicular to the plane defined by the two vectors

and I have to state which statements are true. It can be 1 only, 2 only, 3 only, 1 and 2 only, or all three.

As of right now I am pretty sure that 1 and 2 are true, but I am not sure about 3. Can anyone tell me which ones are true, and if possible, explain to my why? (i am just beginning my physics studies and I find it difficult. By the way does anyone know any good websites or books that can break down this sort of thing as my textbook is kind of advanced.)

1 ►The universe’s symmetry isn’t spherical, but the universe would be like spinning sphere? If it is so, where is the reference frame for the rotation?

2 ►This symmetry can explain where would be the antimatter? Matter and antimatter would be towards the poles, and there would be an equator empty?

3 ►It is possible that the plane rotation for the E.W. would be related to asymmetric molecules in the space? The panspermia hypothesis [Fred Hoyle] suggest an Universe filled with bacteria (as cosmic dust). This kind of dust can rotate the polarized waves, yes?
