v=u+at which means ds/dt=u+at. Then integrate both sides and s=ut+0.5at^2+c where c is a constant but why is c always left out when we have a reference point?

Side question also related to projectile motion:
How does air resistance affect the range of the motion?
How does the angle change ,compared to the angle without air resistance to reach a point, when there is air resistance to reach the similiar point?

A woman at a point A on the shore of the circular lake wants to arrive at the point C on the lake diametrically opposite A. She first rows a boat from A to B at a rate of 4 mph and then jogs from B to C at a rate of 8 mph.
The eqn for the time she takes to get from A to C assuming the lake is d miles in diameter is (d/8) (2cos theta + theta) hrs

Questn: If the lake is 4 miles in diameter, what is the least time she can take in getting from A to C via B.
what does it mean by "via B", so why cant it be 1

Let .5(a+1/a) = -( 2+x) , .5(b+1/b) = -2. I need to to express the following in terms of 'x'. " .5[ (a+b)/(1+ab) + (1+ab)/(a+b) ] "

you are a super genius if you get this.

The elements that are not founded in nature are mostly Inner transition metals and Transition metals, but how could there be such an element when they have to be compose with two or more substance on earth if they are made by a person. Or do those elements are about spectrum, but light is not a metal.
What would be the use of the elements that are not founded in nature? Are they useful because they have the most electrons in each of their energy levels? Does that mean they are very active? What are the use of making new hard nuclei?

Why don't we eventually lose our atmosphere to space?

As we get closer to space the gravitational forces keeping the atmosphere from going into space must be negatively balanced by the diffusion of air into space (which has no atmosphere).

Although the process may be slow, over eons shouldn't we have by now totally lost our atmosphere?

(the typical lawn swing w/awning had a hive between the covered foam pad and the canvas the foam sits on. There was a small chew mark on the back (this is a new swing), and I am wondering if wasps have gone inside to the foam. Have you ever had this problem. Also, what to do, many still want to hang out after we soaked the hive w/water & crushed it.
