9x^2-12xy+4y^2

=x^2-12xy+36y^2
(multiple the 1st number to the last 1 to make it jus x^2)

=9x^-6xy-6xy+4y^2
(find da two factors of 36 dat adds up to -12 for e.g -6*-6=36 then add it to the old equation where the -12xy was)

=3x(3x-2y)-2y(3x-2y)

=(3x-2y)(3x-2y)

Ans
