What mechanisims in space determine whether or not the body will be a star or planet? In other words, why do stars form instead of planets sometimes? Or why do planets form instead of stars?

Thanks

Calculate the critical density of methyl alcohol from the following data:
ρ -------- d liq. (g/cc) ------ d vap. (g/cc)
13.57 ------ 0.6495 ----------- 0.01562
61.25 ------ 0.4675 ----------- 0.1003
The critical temperature is 240 C.

Hi. I've tried to find the definitive average figure of the amount of CO2 sequestered by trees, however it seems impossible to find a reliable figure as the variables involved mean I keep getting different answers.

It all depends on the type of tree, where it grows, how healthy it is, how old it is, etc, ect. Therefore does anyone know of any formula or definitive answer that will actually tell me how much CO2 a healthy broadleaf tree in the UK (for example) will absorb from sapling to maturity (let's say 50 years) and each year thereafter??

PLEASE don't be random - I really do need to have a proper scientific answer to this Q for research I'm doing for my charity to challenge the carbon offsetting industry.

Thank you very much.

For Biology I was asked to list 10 different bonding combinations including carbon. I'm supposed to list the bonding combinations name and chemical formula as well. I don't need you to come up with all 10 of the combinations or tell me the name and chemical formula if you don't feel like it, I just need some ideas. H2O was given as an example so I'm not allowed to use that combination. Thanks!

The question:
What is the molarity of a solution when 9.65 g of CuCl2 is dissolved in 2525 mL of solution?

My answer:
0.15 mols CuCl2 / 2.525 L
I think I'm right, but I can't afford to be wrong.

ok im curios about this, on june 1st between 6 30 and 8 00 in the evening i took a few pictures of the rising full moon and what struck me as odd about the moon was that it was shining red at first and then diminished to orange but during this change the intensity of light increased such that it started looking a bit like the sun, although not nearly as bight , but bright enough to be confused as the sun. is it posiible for a harvest moon to appear in the start of june in the northern hemisphere?

I have two functions (well, one and its inverse) and I have to find the intersection point:

y = 0.25 ( x - 4 ) ^ 2 +2
y = 2* sqrt (x-2) + 4

The answer is (6 + 2*sqrt(3), 6 + 2*sqrt(3))

Can someone show me how to get this answer? (I tried it, but it ends up being really complicated when it's not supposed to)
