Pls help :

Three tins, A, B and C, contained a total of 240 cookies. Some cookies from A were transferred to B and the number of cookies in B was doubled. Then some cookies from B were transferred to C and the number of cookies in C was doubled. As a result, there was an equal number of cookies in each tin. How many cookies were in each tin at first?

Thanks a million

...I know - the chance of it happening is perhaps 69 trillion to one, but with our different cultures, throught the globe - with main ones clashing any which way almost every day, will we all attempt to take on the 'unknown force' come the day we will have to strut our stuff with our chemical warfare and determination...at least it'll be a chance for the paranoiac countries to see what warfare their 'enemies' possess if the crap hits the fan (via Uranus - ahem). But all the same. Will we all stand up?

I got so bored with the space race stuff on the 50s and 60s, I stopped reading anything about it, but one thing has been eating away at me ever since ..... do you think a manned mission will ever succesfully land and walk on the moon? I have wondered this since 1963, and want to know what you think
