The clinical thermometer is not designed to measure the temperature of air correctly. For measuring the minimum and maximum temperature of the day, Six's maximum and minimum thermometer is used.

Yeah sure, the clinical thermometer can measure up to 45 degrees celcius or so. So, unless you live in the desert or something like that, it can definitely measure it.
