What is the limit as h-->0 of [sin(pi/6 + h) - sin(pi/6)] / h ? It could help if you try writing it out in proper notation first.

I know this looks like a yes/no question but I want to know why for either answer, non of these problems seems even close to math I or math II. but I'm just dreaming.

The Amazing Hot Heart Massager is a gel-filled, heart shaped pack used to give massages. There is a small metal disk floating in the gel, when you bend the disk, it snaps and the gel around the disk quickly heats up, turns to a crystalised material, and the heat quickly spreads through out the whole gel pack.
It stays hot for about an hour, then gets kind of hard. To reset it, you drop the pack into a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes. I'm sure there's some sort of scientific explanation of it, I hope someone knows what I'm talking about and can tell me how it works.

I was watching History channel and they stated that in 2039 a huge astroid will wipe us out. It will be a little smaller than U.S. Could it wipe all Earth out? Think about it. I'll be 34 yrs. old. Think about how old you would be. Search it, research it, and imagen how strong 7 atomic bombs would be put togather, and going off togather at the same time! Could it. Please tell me why in your answer.

If only 10 then ow does one use the other 90%?

Jim has 5 pieces of string. He needs to choose the piece that will be able to go around his 36-inch waist. His belt broke, and his pants are falling down. The piece needs to be at least 4 inches longer than his waist so he can tie a knot in it, but it cannot be more that 6 inches longer so that the ends will not show from under his shirt. Which of the following pieces of string will work the best?

2x^2-2x-12=0

(2x+6)(x-2)

2x+6=0
2x=6
x=3

x-2=0
x=2

I THINK the two answers for this question are 3 and 2. The thing is, I was taught that the two numbers that multiply to the last number (-12) must also add up to the middle number (2). +6-2=4 and not 2. So how do I know what two proper numbers to use?

my mind always tries to calculate the shortest path from point A to B such that this par would consist of 1/4 of a circle and that they would form regular shapes for example http://www.geocities.com/hasha_2004/untitled.bmp
I mean really random stuff, like how long could the wall be after cutting through the A diagonal, please provide me with any theorems or advice because this thing has messed with my head long enough.

Why is it when NASA shows current pictures of the moon with super lens like the Hubbel Telescope, don't they ever show a picture of 'that' flag? Do you think that they really landed on the moon? And why with telescopes like the Hubbel don't they ever show other spacecraft out there (i.e. UFO's)?

Evolutionists?
I am constantly told by evolutionists that I am stupid because I don't believe what they believe (not all, but a lot). So let me ask some (just a couple) questions that bother me about evolution and give me your best information.
Which evolved first (how, and how long, did it work with or without the others?)
-Digestive system, the food to be digested, the appetite, the ability to find and eat food, the digestive juices, or the bodies resistence to those juices?
-The drive to reproduce or the ability?
-The lungs, the throat, or the perfect exchange of gases?
-DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message to cell parts?
-The plants or the insects that live on and pollinate the plants?
-Bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply,or the muscles to move the bones?

Just pick one and go with it unless you think you can generalize anything. I would think it to be easier to just pick one though.

In the laboratory you are given a cylindrical beaker containing a fluid and you are asked to determine the density of the fluid. You are to use a negligible mass and unknown spring constant attacked to a stand An Irregularly shaped object of known mass and density hangs from the spring. You may also choose a metric ruler, a stopwatch or a string to complete the task.
a. Exp. how you could experimentally determine the spring constant.
b. The spring-object is now arranged so that the object but none of the spring is immersed in the unknown fluid. Describe any changes that are observed in the spring-object system and explain why they occur
c. Exp. how you could experimentally determine the density of the fluid.
d. Show explicitly, using equations how you willuse your measurements to calculate the fluid density.
