whats the difference between inhibitor genes and dominant epistasis.
by definition, inhibitor genes and dominant epistasis,both refer to the presence of one dominant allele at the first locus prevents the expression at the second locus.
inhibitor: 13:3 dominant epistasis: 12:3:1

The inhibitor gene prevents a certain protein to be expressed. A dominant epistasis is a gene that shows its effect and prevent another from showing.

The difference is that one shows its effect (Epistasis) and the other prevent something else to show its effect but does NOT show on its own. (Inhibitor)
