does anyone know of footage from any space shuttle reentering with plasma from outside, like chaseplane, besides the colombia?

where can i find footage of a space shuttle reentering the atmosphere when it has plasma around it, and not from cockpit but from ground or something thanks.

also, try playing orbiter 2006, its sweet!!!

Not offhand, but email NASA through the links at www.nasa.gov and their PR department could send you some, I am sure.

Heck, they may even have some vidoe of that in their multimedia section on their site.

The NASA respected internet site (link below in source) shows the present prestige for the trip's return to earth. there's a link close to the backside of the internet site with text textile "trip landing floor Tracks" which shows the present planned deorbit and reentry tracks. the two shown strategies-set the Kennedy area midsection from the southwest, and to that end in basic terms isn't everywhere the Pacific Northwest of america. Sorry

how high are we talking about? like, when the shuttle first feels the effects of the atmosphere? that occurs at 400,000 feet MSL (mean Sea level) and as far as i know, no plane can fly up to 400,000 feet. so no there is not footage, unless it is on the space shuttle itself

There is no chase plane that can fly fast enough or high enough to keep up with the shuttle, so no, there is no such video.
