i think that quantum physics has its answer in all things that you do like if you run so many experiments you will eventualy find a pattern and it will eventually start over

I don't think that there are repeating patterns in anything that is truly random. If there were, I would be crunching the history of all of the lottery numbers and when a pattern appeared,
I'd be on easy street the rest of my life.

For what it's worth, I believe everything in the universe follows certain laws which simply can't be broken. I don't believe anything truly operates at random if we know all of the necessary data to determine the outcome. Sometimes this isn't possible - but that doesn't mean the action is random, it just means we don't have sufficient data to accurately predict it. And if we can't predict the outcome - we simply rely on the uncertainty principal - realistic under present technology and knowledge, but a cop out none the less.

i think the answer depends on what you believe this universe is and so on. for example, something i read once argued that the random fuzziness of the quantum level could be because we are all living in this complex situation, and the level of detail cannot extend forever, so eventually it will appear random and unexplainable.

however from a purely physical point of view i would expect everything behaves according to some sort of rules and thus the quantum level will turn out to be the same, however this viewpoint hardly explains consciousness as our thought patterns would then also be predetermined and we would have no freewill ;)

personally i think theres more out there and this "universe" is based on rules but theres something beyond it, something we could not hope to comprehend with our 3 dimensional minds and the ability to imagine and understand only what our senses allow us to take in.. figuring out whats beyond the universe itself could be much like trying to imagine a new colour that is totally original..it just aint possible!
