It says that thyroid extracts, amphetamines and other derivatives are found in either appetite supressants, or laxatives and diuretics. As the article is in French I can't figure out exactly which one contains them. Which seems more likely? Thanks :)

Okay, I've been tought that an atom had protons, electrons, and neutrons, and quarks and stuff inside. But why? Why do atoms need to have them? More importantly, why are electrons negatively charged, and why are protons positive? Just because they are? There has to be a more correct answer than that.

Those two scientists (of which names I can't recall) discovered in the 70s that the faint hiss we hear on any modern radio reciever is the echo of the Big Bang. Several years later they published a "map" depicting the shape of the universe as an oval shaped structure with varied densities.

My question is that how is it possible to map (or mearly compute) something that is theoretically trillions upon trillions of light years in diameter? Is the universe really so "simple" to see in whole?

Two isotopes of Boron occur in nature. Boron-10 has a mass of 10.013 amu and an abundance of 19.61%. Boron-11 has an abundance of 80.39%. The molar mass of a natural sample of boron is 10.811 g/mol. What is the mass of a boron-11 atom?

Please show how work is done (and no this is not homework, this is review for my final). Thanks.
