This question actually dates back to the times of the Tudors, where showers were not invented. In the company of their male counterparts, a lady would say "what is that ghastly odour?!" if the man was exuding a nasty whiff. Upon hearing this, the male would then immediately embark upon boiling 20 kettles filled with water, and fill a bathtub (usually made out of tin)! As times changed, Lynx/Axe was invented, and baths were made a thing of the past. However scientists discovered that hygiene is a factor of health and therefore people now-a-days have reverted to washing on a regular basis. Therefore to answer your question... she is simply telling you that there is a bad smell in the air, and possibly that someone has left a package in their nappy/diaper.

it depends on if you do smell or not, what with you being 12, as thats the only time a girl would say that and mean it when your a child

Is it a good smell or bad smell?
Does she identify the smell with you or with something else?

no either you have purfum on or she just farted. If you have purfum on that means that she is jelious of you and it is a start of a conversation.
