Please help me find details. I am trying to understand the process by which Beta radiation interacting with an atom will cause the discharge of the bremsstrahlung x-rays. I am doing an experiment where beta radiation that is absorbed by a certain material by the process of beta particles interacting with the atoms causes bremsstrahlung x-rays to be emitted. Help me please. Thanks

I'm seeing questions on this subject on this website today (mainly in religion and spirituality), so I'd like to understand their theories.

1) If the earth is flat instead of a sphere, how can you go from the eastern edge to the far western edge in a straight line without going back through the other continents?
2)If all earth was on the top, how come there is no evidence of the bottom side of our planet?
3) What about all other planets and bodies, are they also flat?
4) How would you prevent the top side from overheating? Not all parts of this planet are in daylight at one time, so if the sun were to disappear to the "bottom" side, there would have to be times when the entire populated side would be dark. To my knowledge there is no time that the entire planet is dark.

I'm not trying to criticize, but I sure would like the answers to these questions.

I build plastic 1/87th scale models in polystyrene and would like to switch over to metal. Since the pieces are so small I really can't weld them effectively. What metals can I solder using a 150 watt soldering gun or I do have a brazing torch though I haven't had luck brazing brass tubes together. Just need to know what light metals I can bond together with soldering/brazing that I can purchase at a hobby craft store and if there are any tips since I've only soldered wires together and can't get anything else to bond. Thanks!

Last summer and this summer I came across some "bees" that looks just like a yellow jacket.....black/yellow stripes..only these things are almost like 2 inches in size!!! unbelieveable!!! My husband says they are Ciciadia Killer Bees. They have "holes" nest all over the ground. I lived at my home for almost 10 years ...and for the last 2 summers, These things are here in my yard. Also, can someone tell me the best way to kill them and their nest in the ground? (I am highly allergic to any bee stings... just gotta get rid of them for safety reasons.). thanks.

At a local convenience store, you purchased a cup of coffee but, at 98.4 Degrees Celcius, it is too hot to drink. You add 23.0g of ice that is -2.2 Degrees Celsius to 248 mL of the coffee. What is the final temperature of the coffee? (assume the heat capasity and density of the coffee are the same as water and the coffee cup is well insulated.)

I have a question on a problem, it starts out as "Can H(+)(aq) oxidize Sn(s)" I said yes and wrote the following equation

2H(+)(aq) + Sn(s) <---> Sn(2+) + H2

the next part says find the Ecell. Which i found to be .1364V because E(reduction H+) = 0v and E(oxidation Sn) = .1364V.

The next part asks to find the Ecell if the Ph is 5.39 and both the H2 and Sn(2+) concentrations are 1.5M. Would I use the Nernst equation to find this out?

Thanks

I have trouble accepting this. does anyone else know of any other genetic dispositions we have that we are born with and don't have a choice over? Can you say you were born an alcoholic? As to say " with my genes I don't have a choice I have to drink "? I cannot believe a baby is born without the free will to choose what sex it wants to have sex with, or free will to make any other choices.............

I talked to a conservation officer who said that alot of the rumors about the cougar are true! They are making a comeback in the east! He said that 2 have been confirmed in a nearby county. Allen county Indiana has also confirmed one sight of a large cat that has yet to be identified. It was black so I would assume it is a leopard or Jaguar. So it obviously has nothing to do with the cougar comeback, unless there are indeed melanistic cougars which is something that I have never heard of. So far there have been confirmed sightings in Illinios and Indiana. But sightings have been reported in Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
