It isn't. Zero divided by zero is a non-defined number.

zero divided by zero is not defined. The division operation "breaks" down at this point. Mathematically.
now philosophically, you could say that the answer is, any number. Why? Division is the answer to the question, how many times does one thing fit into another? Here, with zero, the question becomes, how many times can you fit nothing in nothing? Could be 1 time, or 54.21 times, or anything you'd like.
hope this helps

You can't divide a number by zero. You may be thinking of this fact. Say you have a number x and lets say it equals 100. And you divided that number by a number y and let z be the answer for x divided by y. The closer y gets to 0, the larger the answer z becomes.
100/y = z
Or in calculus they refer to this as limits. As y goes to 0, z goes to infinity.

Think of it logically, how can you possibly divide an apple into nothing? Or a piece of paper into nothing?
If you are thinking of the lim 1/n as n approaches 0 then that is infinity. Reason being is that n never equals 0 it just get very very close.

it isnt. dividing by zero is an undefined operation.
Kinda like 32 / Kansas. The result is no number at all 'cause you just can't do it.

In the words of my AP calculus teacher:
"Infinity is a concept, not a number."
There is an infinite amount of 0's in any number, therefore any number divided by 0 returns the CONCEPT of infinity and not a number.

Who told you that it was?
0 ÷ 0 is undefined in mathematics.
Here are some examples of why it can't be defined.
x ÷ x = 1, so when x = 0, 0 ÷ 0 = 1.
2*x ÷ x = 2, so when x = 0, 0 ÷ 0 = 2.
x^2 ÷ x = x, so when x = 0, 0 ÷ 0 = 0.
So we really can't allow 0 ÷ 0 to be calculated: it's a meaningless concept.

0/0 is infinity. But in simple words :
you know that, 0 * any number = 0
so " any number" could be the biggest number . after all it makes no matter
I personally believe 0/0 is infinity because u really don't know the biggest number do you???and so the biggest number is infinity.

If you have nothing, I suppose you could divide it into infinite groups of nothing, thus making 0/0 huge...but if you don't have anything to divide, how can you divide it in the first place?

it is not the biggest number, u can not ever divide any number with zero!!!
maybe u typed it on a digital calculator, that has it in memory like all numbers in binary sistem (0 and 1) and for the undefined numbers it sure has the biggest number it has in memory, in the code it is definied as unknown..
