The symbol for "parallel" is "//." What is the symbol for "opposing"? As in two parallel vectors that run in opposite directions? In one sense they may seem parallel, but in another sense, they are not parallel but the opposite of parallel.

I am an amatuer skygazer who just got started a few months ago. I have a SkyQuest XT8 (f/1200). I am wondering if I would be able to get decent views of the event with my equipment and how hard it will be to resolve/see. I would love to hear from any backyard astronomers with experience viewing this sort of event who have tips or advice.

A friend is looking into sperm donors and one donor states that his mother and maternal aunt have no sense of smell since birth. She is wondering how that would effect her children if she used this donor. What are the odds that one would be born with this disorder and what are the odds that her children would be fine, but could pass it on to their children.
We found the name of the disorder on the internet, but no information about its inheritance. Thanks.

So I had a chem test today and it went really well (I must say that I am pro at the subject). There was one question that confused me, though. What is the difference between a trigonal pyramidal and a tetrahedral molecule? Because I thought they were the same up until the test....Thanks for your help!

light is unseen untill it reflects off an object
yet there must be tonnes and tons of it in transit from there to here
does a light particle have weight
all those tiny weights must add up to a fair bit
energy can not be created nor destroyed
but its weight still must have some affect even if its unseen till some future time it becomes unseen
