Got a tough one here.
A 2.kg block on a frictionless plane inclined at 30 degrees from horizontal has a force F acting on it upward parallel to the incline. The block is accerlating downward at 2.0 m/s. Find F.

I assumed it was the F=ma eqation

F = 2kg*2.0 = 4N

I know its not that easy and cos 30 comes in somewhere.. can you point me in the right direction?

I could not find any doctor to answer these so i thought you could help.
Here are my questions. Feel free to skip any questions. I really appreciate your time.

1. Why should a DR. use optic fibers in their day to day, or during surgery?
2. What are the benefits if any of using them?
3. Who developed optic fiber for use in the medical field?
4. How far will medicine advance to where the need for these is obsolete?
5. How do you feel about using optic fibers in the medical field?

Thanks.

This is the q: There are 2 different isotopes for element Nailium. A representive sample of Nalium is in the container; there are 350 nails total. What is the (average) atomic mass of Nalium? What is the % abudance of each isotope in the mixture? How many white and black nails are in the container?

This is the information that was given to me:

* This is the equation used to solve the problem:
(abundance as a decimal x mass of all isotopes)

Mass of representive sample = 212.1 g

Mass of one white nail= .42 g

Mass of one black nail=.71 g

Please help thankz

I'm trying to conduct an experiment, and I need these ingredients for it. it would be really convenient if anyone knows how to get these things from anything you can buy for really cheap at a store that you don't have to be like, 19 for chemicals.

rescue plane wants to drop supplies to isolated mountain climbers on a rocky ridge H = 221 m below. If the plane is traveling horizontally with a speed of 255 km/hr (70.8 m/s), how far in advance of the recipients (horizontal distance) must the goods be dropped?

Suppose, instead, that the plane releases the supplies a horizontal distance of x = 401 m in advance of the mountain climbers. What vertical velocity (use the positive direction as upwards) should the supplies be given so that they arrive precisely at the climbers' position?

With what speed do the supplies land in the latter case?

I know the answer to the first part is 476 m, but how do you go about solving the last two questions?

One day while i was flipping channels, i came across
a program showing forest fires. Trees burning,
firefighters, entire mountain sides engulfed in flames ..etc
In the program, it showed how the wind can cause
fires to spread and with wind comes more oxygen.
Oxygen fuels the fire.

So i was thinking ...... wind is moving. Oxygen is
just a gas molecule in the wind. I remember seeing
helicopters dropping hundreds of gallons of water
on these flames to put out the fire. So why couldn't
we use SOUND?

Sound waves move thru the air like wind. Amplification
of certain notes might fracture the flame at the combustion
and cause the fire to cease.

Certain gases like oxygen might be affected by various
noises or pitches which could result in the destablization
of the fire at the sub-atomic level.

And if this noise or pitch can be discovered, maybe
fires can be put out with sound. Maybe homes or offices
can have smoke dectors that detect fire and aim a blast
of sound to put out this fire. Maybe fire extigushers can
be replaced with something like a flashlight that can send
out a beam of light with a burst of this sound.

A definate advantage would be the elimination of
the water damage created by sprinkler systems
and firefighter's waterhoses.

Just thinking.

But if someone does figure it out and makes
millions .........all i want is 10%! Send a check!
