I'm updating a database of MSDS sheets. Previously, only the trade name was included but I would like to also include the chemical name. On products with numerous chemicals, which one is used? First in the list or the one with largest % by weight?
Thank you

MSDS and Chemical Information:
Material Safety Data Sheets are extremely important in the safe handling of hazardous substances. They are addressed in the following ways by EHS:

CCINFOweb Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety collection of databases including MSDS, CHEMINFO (occupational health and safety information on chemicals), and RTECS (Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances). Restricted to University of Texas at Austin users, through a computer on campus or a Telesys utexas.edu domain name connection. Please contact your network administrator or e-mail ehs@www.utexas.edu for help.

I would say you should include all of the chemical names. The order in which the chemicals are listed or the percentage tells you nothing about the individual chemicals level of toxicity. By including all the "active" ingredients, it will be easier for medical personnel to quickly treat anyone exposed.

Name Brand coffee is your typical famous coffee, Nescafe etc. Fair trade coffee means that the company pays the workers a fair pay and makes sure that their employment is sustainable. EDIT: Here's a link to where to buy fair trade coffee, and yes many brand name company's are also fair trade but fair trade brands have typically been small companies although that is changing now as well.
