I have recently realized that I am doing this. I had been thinking about this person and then I saw him the next day. Then I was thinking about this other person and I saw him last night. I never see these people until I start to think about them. This has happened often and I was wondering if you all had similar experiences.

Presumably the earth's crust is just cooled solidified mantle. Since a substance in its solid state is generally more dense than in its liquid state, shouldn't the crust just sink into the mantle? If so, then the new exposed mantle would cool, solidify, and sink. Eventually the earth would be entirely solid!
I once asked a geologist who visited our high school this question and she was unable to answer. I now know the answer but I thought I would ask the question here and see if yahoo answerers know more than some poorly educated geologists. (Apparently geophysics and geochemistry were not her specialties)

What is the minumum number of lines which you can draw (without raising your pen from the paper) and manage to unite the all 9 points described as below? (the "star" sign represent the points and I "draw" some imaginary "lines" between them...). And another thing, the lines must be "straight" lines (as geometry defines them...not "curves"...).

I answered a question about interest, did in my head, and then just simple math on the calculator this a.m.(I haven't even had my morning coffee and the left side of my brain hurts when I do math)
The question was basically "How much interest do you need to earn in 5 years to turn $10,200 into $15,000 compounded annually. I guestimated over 9% and just simple calculator shows a return of $4845 at 9.5% but there are two answers that specifically stated the rate to be 8.0185187%. How did they arrive at this figure? And why can't I remember how to use the calculator to calculate this? I've really neglected the left side of my brain but there is over 1% discrepancy. Help, please. Thanks. And you can view the question in my posts, near the top of the answers.

I saw an interesting documentary ("Hogzilla") about feral hogs on National Geographic Channel. It was mentioned that it took thousands of years to domesticate hogs, but that within a few weeks a domestic hog that has gone to live in the wild will start showing bodily features only seen in wild hogs (hairy fur and large tusks). Is this an example of phenotypic plasticity? Blog concerning the show at http://blogs.nationalgeographic.com/channel/blog/2005/03/explorer_hogzilla.html
Thanks.

I mean when will science end or even begin? Answers about pre-big bang are unsatisfactorily explained. And the idea of a big bang emerged from knowing the universe is expanding, and therefore 'Must' have started from a point before the expansion and speeding. What if the expansion and speeding rather started at a point in time when the basic bodies were already there?

I don't think the God of religion is there but surely the Superhuman of nature must be there somewhere even if he/she/it isn't like human.

About 1% of all men have Peyronie's Disease, but mainly those who have the HLA-B7 gene. I know that Hitler's P. Disease resulted from his attempt to piss into a billygoat's mouth, while Penis Clinton's resulted from more practical causes (Juanita Broadrick, Carolyn Moffet). But still it would be nice to know if they have this gene.
