A college "report card" is known as a transcript. Some schools send it to your permanent address, mind did not. Many schools also have them online (Texas A&M does). This transcript is what is needed for scholarships, loans, grants, post-graduate school, and your first job.
Your grades are represented on a 4.0 scale. A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, F=0.0. A good cumulative GPA is considered by most schools and scholarships to be above a 3.25.
Your professor does not know what your major is, unless you tell them. All they know is your name, your student ID number (for grade reporting purposes), usually your email, and your grade. All your professor cares about is that you are in their class, and that you make the grade.

You are graded on a numerical scale.
They mail grades to the address you list as your "permanent" address when you enroll
There are a lot of "core" courses that are required in many majors... biology for example. I could have set next to a pre-med person and not known it. Your prof will not know either until you get into classes in your major... usually in your later sophmore or early junior years.

the report card is called a transcript... it's basically the same with the A's and B's and your GPA... your professor will not know your major unless you tell them or they look it up in your records (and most don't). they may also have an idea of your major if the class you're taking is more of a specialty class designed just for your major...

well it looks like a piece of paper with some letters on it that say what you got in certain classes. it depends on which school you go to, where i go you can access them right on your computer when all the grades are submitted.
most likely if you are going to a 4yr university, don't expect the teacher to like you and hold your hand. this is the big times now, you can ask for help and stuff, which is cool, but don't expect to be buddy-buddy with the teachers. they know you're type and don't like it

You get letter grades and your GPA
Eventually, when you get into your major, the professors will know. First year they won't know unless you tell them
