Trying to Conceive - October 2006

I've been on the pill for 7 years and thinking about trying for a baby. Any ideas how long it will take to conceive once stop taking the pill?

my friend wants to know when she will be ovulating? she came on her period on the 18th of this month? her menstraul cycle is usually 30 days and she lasts on her period for about 4 to 5 days (if that helps)

ok, I wen't off my menstrual then I had sex my 2nd and 3rd day off. week later my nipples are tender and sore, also the white dots on my nipples are more prominent like i notice them now. Keep having breast pains throughout the day. I have noticed that I go to the bathroom every 2 1/2 hours (but that may be a UTI) my 1st time pregnant I had sex 3 days after I went off and got a positive pregnancy test 6 days later which means I obviously ovulate earlier than I should (but everyone is different i'm proof) I also keep getting mild headache here and there but they go away quick. but what do you guys think could I be? I really don't want to find out cause i'm planning on moving away from my bf for a while this will hold me back.

My husband and I are wanting three childern all together we already have 2......3 years and 7 months we are wanting to have them while we are still young enough to have the energy for them. I am 23 years old and my husband is 32. Do you think it is okay to start trying for another one?

I have tender and sore breasts, and it is exactly 5 days after ovulation. Would that be a post ovulation or a very early pregnancy symptom.

I am trying to do this ovulation calender and it is asking me when I started my period and the 11th of this month I spotted once or twice that day but the 12th I was bleeding heavy....do I put I started the 11th or the 12th?

i have been ttc for six moths now i have always been lead to believe that once you have ovulated you canot physically start you period for ten days after. My temperature went down on the sixth day after my ovulation and i appear to be starting my period,its only the seventh day from my ovulation which i have been charting by basal body temp anyone any ideas???????? have i been mislead or is this strange ?????

I am so depressed right now since my first IVF-ET failed and don't know why. I had a laparoscopy done in 8/18/06 since my period was a bit crazy. I would have my period for a whole week and with lots of cramps. During surgery, they removed my polyps from my cervix and the left fallopian tube since it was damaged due to fluid retention (Hydrosalpinx). I was taking Lupron injections in 9/06 from the beginning of 2 wks which wasn't so bad. Afterwards, I took Gonal F 225IU for 2 wks. along with Lupron, 10 units. I did my egg retrieval on 10/5. They retrieved 4 eggs. The next day, they called and said all 4 fertilized. On 10/9, I had my embryo transfer done but 2 eggs stop growing and were no good anymore but the other 2 were put back in since they were grade 1. Pregnancy came back negative and was shocked. I am only 29 yrs. old I told the doctor and I shouldn't have a problem. I need some insights to know how I can succeed with the next one. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

This includes me. It struck me today that we talk a lot on here about hoping to become pregnant or what it's like when you're anxious about becoming pregnant but we don't really discuss what is feels like when all attempts sadly fail.

Personally, I've got over the upset and look forward to the day again but I don't think that people realise just how bad it can be if they haven't been there and I think, as with a lot of subjects on here, there would be many people who would be at least curious to see things from our perspective. I'm not saying we need sympathy but I would like to here from other people out there who are in the same position as myself and how you feel about it. I still feel that in some situations it can take real bravery to admit it and talk about it and other times you can still feel cheated. Do you agree?

I would be glad to here from anybody, with or without children, really out of curiosity to see how we all feel about this and how it affects lives

I should have ovulated on Saturday Sunday Or Monday. Had sex Friday, Sunday & Monday. Today feeling very very tired, very nauseated, aversions to smell (that's what's making me nauseated) and a little bit of nipple tenderness.

I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant with my first child. We got pregnant through In Vitro Fertilization. I am currently taking my progestrone shots. My doctor told me that I have to take them until I am 8 weeks along. I don't go back to the doctor until November 8th. I have checked out a few websites and can't find this answer. Some websites say that I should calculate how far along I am from the date that the embryos were implanted into my uterus. Other websites day that I should calculate from the date of the retrieval of the eggs. And other websites say that I should calculate from the first day of my last period. Has anyone who has gotten pregnant through IVF know this answer? The shots are uncomfortable and painful and I can't wait for them to be over.

Before my husband and I got married, and for the first few months of our marriage, he was always willing to talk about our "future children" and he said that he wanted to have 3 or 4 kids. Then, one day, out of the blue, he all of a sudden refuses to talk about having children, and he says he NEVER wants children. Any time I try to talk about it he gets angry and leaves the room and won't even discuss it with me. I have tried asking him what happened to make him not want children anymore, but he always just says "I don't know" and gets mad that I'm trying to bring up the subject. I have even provided reasons for him as to why he might not want kids...I ask "Are you worried about being a good father?" "Are you worried about money?" "Do you just not like kids" He won't answer....he always says "that could be part of it" or "i don't know". It is so frustrating that I can't even get him to TALK about it with me. He says there is no reason to talk. Please someone tell me what to do!

My hubby and I are trying for our first baby. I swear I am having pregnancy symptoms but home tests come out negative! I was supposed to start my menstrual cycle four days ago! Could I just be stressing myself out? I feel tired and sick all the time, but could I just be freaking out? I usually start right on time, but I hear stress can throw it off? I wish a test would just come positive and I can stop freaking out! Has anyone gone through this?

I have sex frequently and with out protection we just withdrawl method....two weeks ago I started getting headaches that last like all day and felt really tired at work even though i slept more than 6 hours a nite. Then I have this nauseas feeling too like bloated, crampy, sick feeling around 8:30 every morning and different times thorugh out the day. I took a pregnancy test a week ago it came out negative, so had decided to wait till my period came...it was suppose to come yesterday and hasn't I thought it would be here today and hasn't except light light spotting when i wipe. I feel like i'm gonna get it, but it hasn't come. Is this normal if i'm pregnant? I'm very very regular every 24th of month except whn i'm on pills or shot...Any help please!!!

i had sex a week before when i noticed the CM and the day before day of and day after ovulating. my nipples started to hurt the day after i ovulated and have been ever since. they hurt at every little touch and sometimes movements. is it still to soon to have symptoms.

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks in May.
I thought I was doing okay with it until this month. (I would have been due Nov 24th).
Has anyone else been through this? I find myself crying alot or waking up crying. I know I should feel lucky to have my daughter(shes 3) but I feel like Ive let her and my Fiance down by losing this baby.
Im so scared itll happen again..I have Lupus Anticoagulant and I know Im at higher risk of miscarriages. Can anyone tell me how they coped with losing their pregnancies.

I have been taking ovulation kits to know when I will be ovulating and for the past 5 days, the tests have shown the LH surge. The directions explain that you are supposed to surge one or maybe two days in a row each month. Why am I surging for 5 days!! Does that just mean I am extremely fertile? I was recently pregnant and gave birth at 16 weeks pregnant in July. I know that women are more fertile after being pregnant or giving birth. Is this the reason for this?? Thanks!!

I deff had spotting last friday it lasted only one day the blood was drk like it would be on your last day...Ive also been noticing ive been haveing alot of discharge.and light cramping once in a while...my last period was sep 25 I took the test yesterday during the after noon and it came up neg.....I called my drs office they said wait another week and then tke another one....I thought spotting deff ment you where preg???and from this what would you think does it sound like im preg??
