Hi Honey. First of all it is too early for an at home pregnancy test to be accurate. You could certainly have had a false negative. You could very well be pregnant but there are not sufficient amounts of HCG for the test to pick up. You could have a blood test that would be able to tell this early but you have to have a doctor to order it and it does not sound like your doctor is so inclined.
The other thing I would like to tell you is that spotting is by no means an indication of pregnancy. I think what you mean is that you had spotting instead of a normal period which does sometimes happen with a pregnancy. You may spot a little bit during the time that you would have had your period had you not been pregnant.
I would do what your doctor's office suggested and wait at least another week to do a test. I frankly do not understand why your doctor's office would want you do do another test yourself. Most doctors will only trust the ones that they do themselves and you will basically be spending money you don't have to. They will do one in the office anyway.....then you are paying for it twice.
In any case, in answer to your question, you could be pregnant but outside of a blood test I don't think there is anyway you will know for sure. Nature is slow and you need to be patient.
I hope that you get the answer that you want honey, I do know how hard the waiting is.
Good luck honey, I will be thinking of you.
Love and Blessings

Spotting is by no means a indicater, I think you are thinking of implantation bleed, which suposidly happens at implantaion however most docs do not believe there is such a thing any longer. Your docs office is prob. having you wait because 80% of all implantations result in unknown miscarriage meaning the body aborts the baby (prob. not well) on its own, before you can know, many woen have a reg period or spotting that month. But yes do as said & wait 1 week and take another test, if it were me I would buy a 3 pack of ept and take one evry other day (i am so imaptiant) But I think there is a good chance you are not, too early to say however since it is only the 25 th now. Good Luck!

Spotting does not mean you are pregnant...thank goodness or I'd have 32 kids by now!
When you want so badly to be pregnant (I was there for 2 years) you imagine things....or read into normal quirks your body has sometimes.
You didn't say how far your cycles usually are and the light cramping and discharge is normal during ovulation, but you didn't say when that was.
At 31 days from your last period, if the test was negative you are most likely not pregnant if you have a 28 day cycle....if you have a 35 day cycle (like I did) it would be too soon to tell.
Good luck......bodies are strange things.....my son who was conceived on the first try just got up for his milk. My daughter, whom I'm pregnant with now took two years to get here! It is frustrating!

Spotting does not mean you are definately pregnant. It can be a number of reasons. After I was diagnosed with PCOS I would spot a few days before my period would actually start and that has basically become normal for me. If you just started the pill or came off the pill that could cause spotting too. There are a lot of reasons. I would wait a week or so and test if you haven't gotten your period.

Hi! I am in a similar situation. Last period was Sept 28. Waiting for it this week sometime. Last Sunday, I started to spot, very little. Just a few drops for about 2-3 days. Not sure if it will come by Saturday or not. Got a cold yesterday so today I am achey, tired, etc.

Spotting and cramping are more typical of a period than pregnancy. If you don't want to wait a week, at least wait a few more days and take the test first thing in the morning. I have found "First Response" to be a good test as it detects the pregnancy hormone at very low levels.

could be stress that is messing uo your period, have you had a big gain or loss of weight b/c that can affect it to..the mind also likes to play tricks on you..you can want to be pregnant so bad that you can trick oyur mind into thinking you really are when oyu are not..I know it is going to be hard to wait but do wait the week like your dr's office suggested and take another test...if that still comes up negative and you still are uncertain they can do a blood test...

The nausea is a hardship-free signal of being pregnant and so are mood swings, yet supposedly in accordance to many people and docs, the mood swings might want to no longer be too diverse than those experienced through you even as your era is coming. issues are an illustration of hormones replacing notwithstanding i develop into fortunate sufficient to by no skill get them for the period of my being pregnant. the aspect that would favor to issue you is the discomfort you get on your abdomen even once you position slightly stress on it. If I were on your mission, i might want to take a being pregnant try. regardless of if it comes up damaging, i might want to work out a clinical specialist. That discomfort isn't widespread. strong success...

It does not necessarily mean you're pregnant. It could be a wide range of things. I thought I was spotting (implantation bleeding) last two cycles, but nope, sadly I'm not pregnant. Baby dust to us both!

Spotting doesn't definitely mean anything. Do what your doctor suggests, give your body some time, and try again in another week if your period still hasn't arrived.
