I am so depressed right now since my first IVF-ET failed and don't know why. I had a laparoscopy done in 8/18/06 since my period was a bit crazy. I would have my period for a whole week and with lots of cramps. During surgery, they removed my polyps from my cervix and the left fallopian tube since it was damaged due to fluid retention (Hydrosalpinx). I was taking Lupron injections in 9/06 from the beginning of 2 wks which wasn't so bad. Afterwards, I took Gonal F 225IU for 2 wks. along with Lupron, 10 units. I did my egg retrieval on 10/5. They retrieved 4 eggs. The next day, they called and said all 4 fertilized. On 10/9, I had my embryo transfer done but 2 eggs stop growing and were no good anymore but the other 2 were put back in since they were grade 1. Pregnancy came back negative and was shocked. I am only 29 yrs. old I told the doctor and I shouldn't have a problem. I need some insights to know how I can succeed with the next one. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

My sister's first 2 invitro failed and the third cycle had to be stopped because she was getting no viable eggs. She waited 3 months and started again. In between she tried special fertility diets and accupuncture. The fourth time was a charm. She was 34 and she had promissed herself that would be the last time.
I also got pregnant the last cycle of fertility treatment. The whole thing had taken an emotional toll on me. Lucikly it worked the last time. Sometimes, taking a few months break gives you time to get over the grief. Cause I think that not getting pregnant is some kind of loss and you have to grieve the loss and sort of give yourself time to heal before trying again. Good luck

Be patient,,,,try again and if it does not work the next time,,,go see Dr Franklin in Houston Tx..or Dr Vaughan in Austin Tx.....

Also have your current Dr. check you pagesturone levels.....if this hormone is not right the egg cannot attach to the wall of the uterus....

Good Luck...

Just give it a little more time. Sometimes they first few fail... but you might end up with twins, even triplets!!! Good luck to you dear.
