Should I wait to take a hpt? I'm dying to find out, it's like I rather know now than let me get my hopes up.

I know waiting is hard I went through that myself this week. I was not supposed to test until Thursday and have had so many neg. tests in the past that I told myself that I was going to wait until then. However, I couldn't as usual and tested on Tuesday and got a faint positive!!! I tested again today and got a very definite positive. I would wait a couple more days because I don't think I would have gotten a positive and four to five days prior and I would have been so depressed. Try to hold out for at least a couple more days if a neg. result will upset you.

Personally, I would wait even though it is difficult to do. My doctor recommended waiting at least a full week after missed cycle to test for pregnancy. Sometimes you can test too early. Waiting not only helps prevent the possible lack of disappointment but takes into account possible miscalculations. Best of luck to you!!

I say go get the two pack with one free. That way, you can test today, then if it's negative, you can test later. And if it's positive, you can take another one to be sure (I don't know why, but I always felt the need to do that). I found out a week before my period with my first and five days before with my second. Good luck!

well...i believe you have to wait, since it it recomended to wait untill the day that your period is due for a more accurate result, just be patient and be hopefull, that doesnt necesarily mean you have to get your hopes up, just always keep in mind, there is only a 20% chance of getting pregnant every month, so try, and have fun with it. well you usually can tell after 3 days after conception. There may be some hormones that may detect whether you or not. Go with a HPT that can detect pregnancy early.

They say those early pregnancy test are not that accurate. You should wait, otherwise you willl be wasting your money and disappointed. It is hard to wait, but it will be worth the wait. I know this is crazy, but I sense you are pregnant. If my feelings are right it will be a girl. Good luck Janine

isn't there a new pregnancy test out, like first response or something? most people have you wait till what should have been the first day of your cycle, but you may to the drug store and see if there's anything that tests earlier.

go get a hpt one of the early response ones and get it over with i can remember how i felt when i wanted to know don't lose sleep and get one asap girl.....................good luck

yeah, go ahead and wait. at this point, you'd likely get a negative anway. wait for a few more days.

Go to the dollar store and get one or two.That way if its negative at least you didn't spend 14 dollars.
