My hubby and I are trying for our first baby. I swear I am having pregnancy symptoms but home tests come out negative! I was supposed to start my menstrual cycle four days ago! Could I just be stressing myself out? I feel tired and sick all the time, but could I just be freaking out? I usually start right on time, but I hear stress can throw it off? I wish a test would just come positive and I can stop freaking out! Has anyone gone through this?

It's possible the stress is throwing off your cycle. But the two times I was pregnant, I took the test about 3-4 days after my period was due and I got a very, very faint line. My suggestion would be to have your doctor do a blood test. If it comes back negative, then talk to your doctor about ttc. There could be something medically wrong that is interfering with conception, or throwing off your cycle. I do believe you need to try to relax when ttc, but I don't agree with the "just stop trying and it will happen" theory because if there are medical issues, then not doing anything about them won't help you get pregnant. I hope you are pregnant. Best of luck to you.

Any couple trying to conceive for a while has gone through this. I have had what I though were pregnancy symptoms and I wasn't pregnant. I know that it is hard but try to keep your mind off of it. Just keep yourself busy for a few more days. Keep testing every other day until you are seven days late. If you still are getting a negative, then call your doctor. He/she will have a blood pregnancy test completed and then discuss the results with you. Good Luck!!!

I am an insane person with you. But I have been trying since 2/03. We got a BFP in 5/04 that m/c in 7/04. With that one I didn't test positive until cd 40. I normally have 30 day cycles. Then I got a BFP on 5/06 that m/c in 6/06. With that one I didn't test positive until cd 35. If after another week you get nothing I would go to the DR since it may be a cyst. Hope this helps.

Quit stressing. You can want a baby so bad that you will give yourself false symptoms. You will get your hopes up and then fall into depression. Monitor your cycles and when you feel you are about to start have sex. Don't time or anything like that. Let it happen. If you are both healthy then you will get it. Don't stress and don't plan. It will happen when you least expect it.

PS Women are usually most fertile right after a period. For like two days.

Me and my husband are trying for our 2nd child and having no luck i know how you feel i would make a appointment for a check up and request a blood test that's the only sure way to know. The home tests are not always accurate
I know you tired of hearing just quit thinking about it and it will happen i am too just keep trying and get the test
Don't give up God Bless You

I've had false positives before, wait a few more days and take another one. If you're totally freaking out you can always have a blood test done. Other than that, you will have to try to relax most doctors won't see you until you're 6 weeks along, at least in my experience.

Good luck!!

I've been there. We were trying so hard for our first child, that I always thought I had symptoms. Yes, you are putting yourself under a lot of stress, which will throw off your period, and it can make it harder to concieve. It is very hard, but you need to relax, and try to concentrate on other things in your life. Once you do that, you'll be pregnant in no time. When we did that, we were pregnant like a month later. Good Luck!!!

stress can most definately stop your period and many ppl say they try to hard and when they relax a little and put there thoughts to other things it just happens. and also the pregnancy test you may have may be a weak one and you may need to be 6 wks if you are really unsure go see a dr and have a blood test good luck
