I am not trying to start a big debate. I am genuinely curious why women choose pain over an epidural.

I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and I took the day off of work to get a cavity filled, when returning to work today my boss asked how my tooth was I said fine ,but it would have to be extracted but that I would wait until after I had the baby because of the medications afterward, and his response to this was "guess you shouldn't have got pregnant then eh?" I was shocked to hear this so I then asked him to repeat what he had said, he did. When I asked him what that was supposed to mean he claimed he was just joking. Annoyed, I walked away and he proceded to ask me when my boyfriend and I were planning on getting married, and to my further disbelief said "So it was an accident eh? you know an "oops" moment?" I said that I didnt consider my child or my choices to be an accident or an oops. He said " well it obviously wasn't planned, so it would be an OOPS!" The phone rang and he answered it and that was the last of that topic. Would anyone else be as offended and what should I do?

I am 39 weeks. 2 cm dilated, 65% effaced, baby is at 0 station or engaged....

The past few days I've had really loose bowel movements. Today I have been so emotional, I don't think I've been like this since I have been pregnant. I have been crying, screaming, and loving all day long. I've had a bunch of movements today especially. Here in the past few hours I started having light contractions every 15 minutes, then 10 minutes, now they are 5 minutes apart. They aren't lasting very long, and they are really light.

This is #3 for me, but I've never been through natural labor before. So, I'm not too sure what to watch for. I've already lost my mucus plug about 3 weeks ago.... I don't know what else you need to know.... guess I'm looking for a little bit of hope!!

im 40 weeks. 2 cm dilated and i had my membranes stripped today. i lost my mucas plug today and now im having cramps and my back hurts... do u think im in labor? also, what else could i do to bring on labor? i went for a long walk already today..

well I got to my doc wendsday and he is going to check me. my cervix is not riping so he said they were going to put me in the hospital wenday nite and give me cervidil and if that dont put me in labor they are going to break my water and give me potosin on 7th but I will be put in the hospital on the 6th any advice

ive been reading through the other posts and a lot of you say that you heard the heart beat or saw it on the ultrasound early. im pregnant with twins and had an ultrasound at 7 weeks. how come i did not see the heartbeat?? is something wrong?

Had ultrasound at 20 wks; the ultrasound tech/doctor said that the head was big, and said he thought the baby was 9 days older than original gestational age. Curious for insight. Thanks.

I am doubful whether i had a miscarriage on 17th this month. My period had appeared with a delay of 11 days on 17th and i passed a big blood clot with heavy bleeding and pain. Since then i have backache daily and have developed dark circles. I carried out a pregnancy test today and it showed a very dim line of testing. Was i pregnant....was it really a miscarriage....Is the test showing correct results? It has been 2 weeks that i had my periods.

I'm due in January. My fiancee want to get our family's involved in eveything. What we have thought of to include the Families is to give them and all an ultrasound photo and to make bets on whether we are having a boy or girl.

What does everyone think? This means that everyone will have to talk to each other and hopefully they will all have fun.

Can anyone think of any other ways to involve both families more.

P.S My side lives in the same town as us and his family is 5 hours away. In the next few month we decide whether to move to the same town as his family and mine will be 5 hours away.
