I am doubful whether i had a miscarriage on 17th this month. My period had appeared with a delay of 11 days on 17th and i passed a big blood clot with heavy bleeding and pain. Since then i have backache daily and have developed dark circles. I carried out a pregnancy test today and it showed a very dim line of testing. Was i pregnant....was it really a miscarriage....Is the test showing correct results? It has been 2 weeks that i had my periods.

If you were far enough along to have had a miscarriage, it would most likely show up on a test...although the length of time after a miscarriage will vary on the woman and the hormones. Blood clots don't necessarily mean a miscarriage, though. Clots passed are usually a gray or white material and look like tissue, not blood. You may have just had a heavy period, I don't know.

When you say a dim line of testing, do you mean a dim positive line? Try taking another test, or ask your doctor to test your HCG levels. Good luck.

Any line, no matter how faint, is a positive for pregnancy. So yes, you could have had a miscarriage - especially with the symptoms you describe. It takes a while for the pregnancy hormone (hCG) to completely get out of your system, so the test can show a positive even after a miscarriage. You really need to go see a doctor to make sure everything is okay, especially if you want to get pregnant some day.

if you had a line on the test i would probably say you are pregnanct, or were. Because you had heavy bleeding and pain it probably was a misscarriage, but the only way to know for sure is to see a dr.
Good Luck

If you are getting a positive line on a pregnancy test, even if it is faint, then you probably are pregnant.

But because of all that heavy bleeding I would suggest you be examined by an OB.

i think that you are still pregnant and just passing blood go to the doctor and have a blood test and the level of hormones in your blood will be measured and the doctor can tell if you are or are not pregnant good luck to you and i hope that you get the news that you want
